Danantara Marks First Anniversary and Reaffirms Commitment to National Investment

Indonesia’s Investment Management Body (Badan Pengelola Investasi/BPI) Danantara has officially reached its first anniversary. The institution, which manages and oversees national investments, was formally inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto on 24 February 2024.

Through a video posted on its Instagram account @danantara.indonesia, the body stated that its purpose is to support Indonesia’s long-term integrated development with a focus on value addition.

“One year of Danantara Indonesia’s journey in strengthening sustainable economic foundations. As an Investment Management Body, Danantara Indonesia is present to support Indonesia’s long-term development direction through integrated management oriented towards value addition,” the statement read from the @danantara.indonesia Instagram account.

Danantara is committed to building a robust institution based on strong governance. The body also declared its commitment to Indonesia’s sustainable prosperity.

“The personnel of Danantara Indonesia and the entire ecosystem within it are working together to build a solid institution, based on strong governance and a commitment to Indonesia’s sustainable prosperity,” the statement added.

Notably, Danantara’s investments are directed towards national projects such as industrialisation and downstream value-added processing. These projects are expected to create significant added value for Indonesia’s economy.
