The government has emphasised that the involvement of the Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) Investment Management Agency in the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) forum does not alter the structure or authority of the KSSK.

Didi Apriadi, Special Staff to the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, stated that Danantara attends only as an observer or an invited party without voting rights. Consequently, Danantara possesses no authority to make decisions within the KSSK.

“By managing various strategic state assets, including holdings in state-owned banks that hold a significant share of the national financial system, Danantara possesses information that can enrich the government’s perspective in interpreting economic dynamics,” Didi told reporters in Jakarta on Friday (31/07/2026).

Didi explained that the government is involving Danantara to strengthen policy coordination between the fiscal, monetary, financial, investment, and business sectors. This move follows directives from President Prabowo Subianto to ensure economic policy coordination becomes increasingly effective in facing global economic dynamics.

According to Didi, the condition of the financial system is influenced by more than just fiscal, monetary, and banking indicators. Developments in investment, industry, and business activities also provide a picture of potential economic risks. Therefore, Danantara is deemed capable of providing additional information to the government regarding the condition of the real sector and the business world. This information is expected to strengthen the early warning system, allowing the government to anticipate potential economic risks more rapidly.

“Such input is vital so that the policies adopted become more comprehensive and based on real-world conditions,” he said.

Regarding KSSK decisions, Didi emphasised that all decisions remain in the hands of the four member institutions according to their respective authorities: the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS).

“The presence of Danantara does not diminish the independence of these institutions; rather, it merely enriches the information used as consideration in formulating policy,” he added.

He further noted that involving a state investment management agency in policy coordination forums is not an entirely new practice in economic governance. Several countries involve sovereign wealth funds in specific discussions to provide strategic input without granting decision-making power.

“The government ensures that Danantara remains an invited party in KSSK meetings, not a permanent member. Thus, the institutional structure of the KSSK remains unchanged, while the quality of national economic policy coordination is strengthened to maintain investor confidence and accelerate Indonesia’s economic growth,” Didi concluded.
