Danantara Joins Global Sovereign Wealth Fund Forum

Holding investasi Danantara Indonesia, PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), has officially been accepted as an Associate Member of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF). The approval was granted by the IFSWF Board in early 2026.

Chief Investment Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Pandu Sjahrir, stated that joining the IFSWF reflects the institution’s commitment to world-class governance, transparency, and accountability.

“As the manager of Indonesia’s national assets, we are determined to build an institution that meets the highest international standards so that we can carry out the investment mandate for the people of Indonesia,” Pandu said in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday, 16 July 2026.

Pandu noted that DIM’s membership marks its dedication to implementing international best practices in governance, transparency, and responsible investment for a sovereign wealth fund.

As an Associate Member, DIM joins a global network of SWFs committed to upholding the Santiago Principles, a set of 24 generally accepted principles and practices for governance, investment, and risk management.

Membership in the IFSWF opens opportunities for DIM to engage in knowledge exchange with the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds and to participate in various forum programmes and discussions.

“We are pleased to welcome Danantara Indonesia as a member of the IFSWF. Since its establishment, Danantara Indonesia has demonstrated a strong commitment to good governance, professionalism, and transparency, and will be a valuable member of our community,” said IFSWF Chief Executive Duncan Bonfield.

Danantara intends to use its Associate Member status as a foundation to deepen its engagement with the global community of sovereign investors, including aligning its institutional governance framework with the Santiago Principles through a self-assessment process.
