The Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) has acquired four investment managers (MI) owned by state-owned enterprises (BUMN) banks. This action was carried out through PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM) with a total value of approximately Rp 2.7 trillion for conditional share purchase agreements with several BUMN banks.
According to disclosures from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Danantara’s acquisition targets PT Mandiri Manajer Investasi (MMI) from the subsidiary of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), namely PT Mandiri Sekuritas (Mansek). The acquisition is valued at Rp 1 trillion for 1,499 shares or approximately 99.93% of MMI shares, effective 1 April 2026.
Furthermore, Danantara has also acquired PT BNI Asset Management (BNI AM) from the subsidiary of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), namely PT BNI Sekuritas, effective 1 April 2026. Danantara invested Rp 359.64 billion for 39,960,000 shares or approximately 99.9%.

Previously, Danantara’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Pandu Sjahrir, stated that this acquisition is intended to merge MIs under BUMN. Additionally, Danantara aims to reduce institutions with similar functions.
“That is part of Danantara’s efforts to streamline and also enlarge the institution. So one way is to merge several companies that are actually quite similar,” Pandu explained after the Outlook Indonesia event on the Role of National Economic Drivers at Menara Bank Mega, Jakarta, on Tuesday (7 April 2026).
