Danantara integrates housing ecosystem to expand public access
BPI Danantara is building an integrated housing ecosystem spanning the building materials industry, developers, contractors and financing services to accelerate and expand public access to affordable housing.
BPI Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said cross-sector collaboration is needed to create public access to affordable housing so that it can meet decent living standards and improve welfare.
“Danantara Housing Expo 2026 is a manifestation of Danantara Indonesia’s support, together with the entire SOE ecosystem, for the three million homes programme, which is a priority programme,” Rosan said in a statement received in Jakarta on Sunday.
According to Rosan, Danantara is seeking to deliver three things through strengthening the ecosystem: housing supply with quality and affordable prices, competitive financing schemes, and easier access for the public.
On the financing side, Danantara is encouraging synergy among Himbara banks and other financial institutions within the SOE ecosystem. This synergy is expected to improve public access to housing finance with more affordable schemes.
“Providing competitive, affordable financing schemes through synergy among Himbara banks and other financial institutions under the SOE ecosystem, as well as easier access for the public,” he said.
Rosan said the need for housing is currently a top priority. Therefore, Danantara together with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas is working to accelerate the fulfilment of public housing needs.
Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait said Danantara Housing Expo 2026 can become a platform that brings together the public with developers, banks and various industry players in a single housing ecosystem.
“We hope the public will find it easier to obtain information to choose a home that suits their needs and to access appropriate financing,” Maruarar said.
Within the ecosystem, state-owned PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) is providing building material solutions that can support housing construction efficiency. SIG is offering Precision Interlock Bricks, which are claimed to accelerate the construction process while optimising material use.
SIG President Director Indrieffouny Indra said the innovation is part of the company’s commitment to supporting the government in realising the three million homes programme through the provision of building materials that prioritise speed, efficiency, quality and sustainability.
Danantara Housing Expo 2026, running from 27 to 30 August 2026, features more than 120,000 property options from more than 130 state-owned and private developers.
The property options are divided into several zones, namely First Home, Family Home and Premium Living, each targeting different consumer needs and purchasing capacities.
For state-owned developers specifically, 12 developers are bringing around 16,559 units from 98 projects spread across 23 provinces, with the value of property inventory offered reaching Rp9.79 trillion.
Of that total, 6,611 units are housing for low-income communities, while the remaining 9,948 units are non-low-income housing.
