Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the SOE Regulatory Body (BP BUMN) and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, said that innovation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology are among the focuses of SOE transformation in the five-year roadmap.

“In the third year, we will talk about innovation and the application of AI technology and so forth,” Dony told journalists at the Ministry of Finance office in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The statement was a response regarding the five-year strategic roadmap for SOE transformation currently being developed by Danantara and BP BUMN.

Dony explained that in the first year, Danantara will focus on consolidating and restructuring SOEs.

Then, in the second year, Danantara will focus on human resource development and corporate culture.

“So, after they consolidate, the second theme will be related to people development and corporate culture,” he said.

Furthermore, in the third year, Dony said Danantara will target innovation and the application of AI technology.

“In the fourth year, we will talk about value creation. So, which ones we will pursue strategic partnerships with, which ones will go for an IPO, which ones will remain private, we will also discuss that with the Ministry of Finance,” Dony said.

Then, in the final or fifth year, Dony will set higher financial targets.

“So, each year there is certainly a profit target. We start from developing the vision, then the mission, and also the targets to be achieved each year,” Dony said.

BP BUMN and Danantara continue to refine the direction of SOE transformation through the preparation of a five-year strategic roadmap as a guideline for building healthier, more competitive and value-creation-oriented state-owned companies.

Through this roadmap, BP BUMN and Danantara are committed to accelerating comprehensive SOE transformation, from strengthening business fundamentals, talent development and technology utilisation to enhancing global competitiveness.

Through these stages, BP BUMN and Danantara aim to produce Indonesian SOEs that are increasingly resilient, highly competitive and capable of competing at the global level, including entry into the Fortune 500.
