The Danantara Housing Expo 2026 is considered capable of expanding public access to home ownership by bringing together developers, banks, the government, and prospective buyers in a single ecosystem. The exhibition, held from 27–30 August 2026, presents more than 120,000 property options from 130 state-owned and private developers.

Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Real Estate Association (REI), Fajar R. Zulkarnaen, said housing exhibitions can help the public find housing options as well as financing access that suits their means. “Danantara Housing Expo 2026 is a positive momentum because it brings the entire housing ecosystem together in one space,” Fajar said on Friday (28/8/2026).

According to him, the issue of home ownership requires the involvement of developers, banks, and the government. Developers provide housing, banks support financing, while the government plays a role through regulation, incentives, and infrastructure development.

Fajar said access to financing is one of the main challenges for the public, especially first-time home buyers. The ability to provide a down payment and pay monthly instalments is an important consideration before buying a house. Therefore, he assessed that financing with long tenors, competitive interest rates, and lighter instalments can broaden access to home ownership, especially for the younger generation. “What the public needs is a financing scheme that suits their means,” he said.

Previously, Chief Executive Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Rosan Roeslani, said the Danantara Housing Expo 2026 presents housing options in various segments. The exhibition divides the properties on offer into three zones: first home, family home, and premium living. Over the four days of the event, Danantara is targeting more than 50,000 visitors. The expo also brings together more than 130 state-owned and private developers with financing institutions and prospective buyers. “Over the four days of the event, we are targeting the attendance of more than 50,000 visitors,” Rosan said.

According to Rosan, the number of properties on offer reaches more than 120,000 options. The variety of housing is expected to give the public more choices based on their needs and financial capacity. The presence of developers and financing institutions in one location also opens access for prospective buyers to compare housing options while seeking suitable financing schemes. With the number of developers and property options available, the Danantara Housing Expo 2026 is one of the events that brings together the public’s housing needs with housing products and financing in one place.
