The Danantara Development Management Fund (DDMF), an entity of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara), has held a working meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). The meeting was conducted behind closed doors.

Chairman of Commission XI DPR RI, Mukhamad Misbakhun, stated that the discussions included the entity’s work plan, budget, and several projects to be undertaken by DDMF this year. ‘What was conveyed related to the budget, and many things were conveyed regarding projects, and there were many questions from members, but the entire meeting was closed,’ he said when met at the DPR RI building in Jakarta on Wednesday (1/7/2026).

He declined to provide detailed information, citing the confidential nature of the meeting. ‘I am maintaining the confidentiality of the closed meeting, so I cannot disclose what was discussed,’ he added.

Misbakhun explained that DDMF will participate in several projects, acting as an investor in sectors that offer long-term returns but have historically attracted minimal private sector interest. ‘If left to the private sector, participation is very low and minimal. Therefore, the state’s presence is mandated, and DDMF must enter there. That is the main point,’ he clarified. However, he could not yet reveal the specific projects involved. ‘I cannot definitively tell you what the projects are,’ he added.

Meanwhile, Danantara’s Chief Technology Officer, who also serves as DDMF’s President Director, Sigit Puji Santoso, said DDMF will engage in President Prabowo’s priority programmes, particularly downstreaming. ‘Downstreaming programmes and others are the priority,’ he stated. Regarding funding requirements, Sigit also could not provide further details but confirmed the projects would not utilise the state budget (APBN). ‘Oh no, there is no APBN. This is all private and investment. No APBN,’ he asserted.
