Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) said Danantara Indonesia had submitted an offer to become a new shareholder following the exchange’s demutualisation. The process is currently at the due diligence stage.

“The offer has been submitted and due diligence is under way. But the process is still ongoing,” IDX President Director Jeffrey Hendrik told reporters after the IDX Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) in Jakarta on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.

Jeffrey said Danantara Indonesia was so far the only party to have submitted an offer to become a new IDX shareholder. The Ministry of Finance and Bank Indonesia have not made similar offers.

Asked about the size of Danantara’s offer, Jeffrey said he could not yet disclose the figure. He said the information could not be made public while discussions and due diligence were still in progress.

IDX shareholders have approved the plan to demutualise the exchange, changing its ownership structure from one held by exchange members to a more open structure. However, the IDX still needs to hold a further Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to discuss a corporate action involving the issuance of new shares through a rights issue.

Through the corporate action, the IDX will issue new shares as part of the demutualisation process and to open up ownership opportunities to new shareholders.
