Danantara: DSI Creates Added Value in Indonesia's Natural Resource Exports
Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, stated that the establishment of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) does not create new bureaucracy in the management of natural resource exports. DSI, he said, will instead add value for the nation, society, and businesses through more transparent and accountable export management.
“There are several aspects we expect to add value from the process that the government will implement through DSI for our natural resource exports,” Dony said during a press conference on the Operational Preparation of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
Dony hopes the policy will enhance state revenue. According to him, DSI’s presence will strengthen oversight of practices suspected of reducing state revenue, such as under-invoicing and transfer pricing in commodity exports.
“As previously mentioned by Mr Purbaya, if there is no significant impact, then something is wrong,” said the West Sumatran native.
He added that the monitoring mechanism will be streamlined as all export data and activities can be monitored through an integrated system. Dony said the Ministry of Finance can more easily track potential state revenue by communicating directly with Danantara.
“Mr Purbaya can simply contact Danantara to check why revenue, which was previously suspected of under-invoicing and transfer pricing, should no longer occur with the establishment of DSI,” Dony stated.
The head of BP BUMN also hopes DSI will benefit society through improved performance of companies involved in the natural resource export chain. He stated that transparent corporate governance will directly affect net profit.
“Most of these companies are publicly listed, so the public will also benefit more,” he added.
