Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, met with Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa at the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta on Wednesday (5/8/2026). Dony stated that the meeting was a routine coordination session between Danantara and the Ministry of Finance. “It’s normal, coordination with the Finance Minister. There are many things we need to discuss with the Minister,” Dony said.

The meeting covered several strategic agendas related to the restructuring of state-owned enterprises (BUMN), including the resolution of debt for the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail (KCIC), known as Whoosh. Dony noted that the progress of the high-speed rail project remains a focus for the government. “Today we discussed streamlining, including KCIC,” he added.

Dony also revealed that the government is considering regulatory support for the restructuring process, including potential tax relief. He emphasised that Danantara and the Ministry of Finance share the same perspective on improving BUMN governance. “Basically, the Minister and I are on the same page. We want to organise things as best as possible. We are tidying up what has happened,” said the former President Director of InJourney.

Regarding the specific scheme for settling the high-speed rail debt, Dony declined to provide details, stating that the matter is still being finalised and will be announced by the Finance Minister. “We are open. Regarding the KCIC debt settlement scheme, the Finance Minister will address it later,” he concluded.
