Danantara Confirms No Job Cuts at PT INTI
The Head of the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) Regulatory Body and Chief Operating Officer of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that the agency is reviewing the potential closure of PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (INTI) while assuring no staff layoffs will take place.
“An assessment of PT INTI’s closure is underway. It is being checked. As previously mentioned regarding streamlining,” Dony said during a meeting at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Monday, 25 May 2026, as reported by Antara.
During the same occasion, Dony confirmed that Danantara is currently verifying PT INTI’s status, and assured that no termination of employment (PHK) would be implemented for INTI employees.
Dony emphasised that BUMN restructuring does not eliminate jobs for staff in the affected companies. “The employees are safe. We’ve already stated that no one will be laid off,” he said.
The BUMN Regulatory Body, in collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower, is promoting strategic cooperation to ensure BUMN transformation proceeds under the ‘no one left behind’ principle, while guaranteeing no reduction in employee rights.
This collaboration between the BUMN Regulatory Body and the Ministry of Manpower is part of efforts to maintain healthy, professional, and sustainable BUMN transformation, prioritising protection for all company personnel.
Danantara and the BUMN Regulatory Body have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring BUMN transformation not only strengthens corporate performance but also provides security and assurance for employees.
In mid-May 2026, Dony announced the restructuring of 180 companies under the BUMN umbrella as part of efforts to make state-owned enterprises more effective, efficient, and focused on core business lines.
This restructuring is part of a comprehensive transformation to simplify corporate structures, reduce business overlaps, and ensure each entity has a clear role in creating economic value and enhancing national competitiveness.
