Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The Danantara Indonesia Investment Management Agency (BPI) has revealed that the performance of several state-owned enterprises (SOEs) has shown significant growth since the state investment management institution was officially launched on 24 February 2025.

Cumulatively, the performance of the state-owned companies in the 2025 financial year is said to have exceeded the set targets. This achievement is considered to reflect improvements in governance, increased business effectiveness, and a transformation that is beginning to deliver tangible results.

One SOE that recorded significant growth is PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo). As of May 2026, the port management company posted a year-to-date profit of Rp 2.01 trillion, soaring 94% compared to the same period the previous year.

Positive performance was also recorded by the Pupuk Indonesia Group, or Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC). The company posted a net profit of Rp 6.70 trillion as of May 2026, an increase of 230% year-on-year.

Additionally, Pupuk Indonesia’s revenue grew 49% year-to-date to Rp 47.71 trillion. Meanwhile, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) were recorded at Rp 11.36 trillion, up 132%.

PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR), or SIG, also recorded improved performance. In May 2026, the company posted a net profit of Rp 46 billion, an increase of 380% compared to the same period last year, which reached Rp 10 billion.

Cumulatively, SIG’s net profit as of May 2026 reached Rp 152 billion. This figure turned positive after the company still recorded a loss in the same period last year.

Danantara Chief Operating Officer (COO) and SOE Management Body (BP) official Dony Oskaria assessed that these achievements show the SOE transformation is heading in the right direction and needs to be consistently strengthened.

“This achievement shows that the SOE transformation is beginning to deliver tangible results. The important thing going forward is to maintain consistency, strengthen governance, and ensure that every piece of information conveyed to the public is based on data, facts, and real conditions on the ground,” Dony said in an official statement on Sunday (21/6/2026).

Previously, Dony together with a number of SOE directors held a meeting at Wisma Danantara Indonesia on Friday (19/6/2026). The meeting discussed the development of the state-owned companies’ performance as well as strengthening coordination to ensure the transformation process runs in a measurable, transparent, and results-oriented manner.

Danantara and BP BUMN also reaffirmed their commitment to promoting more accountable and data-based SOE management. Therefore, the preparation of company performance reports is carried out by prioritising information accuracy so that the public obtains a clear picture of the development and contribution of SOEs to the national economy.
