Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Head of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara, Rosan P. Roeslani, expressed his concern and condolences over the train accident involving the KRL and KA Agro Bromo Anggrek that occurred last night, Monday (27/4/2026).

Rosan stated that his side would conduct a thorough evaluation of the safety systems in the rail transport operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero).

“We will conduct a comprehensive evaluation, especially regarding the safety of all existing systems, and indeed we always evaluate comprehensively, like that,” said Rosan when met at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy office, Tuesday (28/4/2026).

He also emphasised that safety is the utmost priority, in addition to improving comfort in public transportation.

“Safety is number one,” he stressed.

The Head of the SOE Agency, Dony Oskaria, previously inspected the site of the train accident in East Bekasi, West Java Province, early Tuesday (28/4/2026).

Dony emphasised that President Prabowo Subianto’s instructions are very clear: public safety is the highest law. Currently, all energy is being exerted to ensure that medical services for the victims proceed quickly and accurately.

“Our main focus at this time is not only restoring the operational route, but ensuring that every individual affected receives the fastest and best handling,” said Dony.

Based on the latest data as of 08.45 WIB, 14 people have been recorded as deceased. The deceased victims have been taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital for further identification. Meanwhile, 84 injured victims have received medical treatment at various health facilities.

Victim handling is being carried out at several health facilities, including Bekasi City Hospital, Bella Bekasi Hospital, Primaya Hospital, Mitra Plumbon Cibitung Hospital, Bakti Kartini Hospital, Siloam East Bekasi Hospital, Hermina Hospital, as well as Mitra Keluarga East and West Bekasi Hospitals.
