Danantara CEO Warns SOE Bosses Not to Polish Financial Reports!

Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani has advised SOE bosses to act honestly in presenting financial reports. He warned against engaging in financial engineering, or polishing financial statements to make them appear impressive.

According to him, what is the point of financial reports showing high profits if the actual cash flow is strained?

This was expressed by Rosan during his speech at the CEO Development Programme. A quote from his remarks was directly uploaded to his official personal Instagram account @rosanroeslani.

“Do not engage in improper financial engineering anymore. What is the point of appearing to have high profits but with empty cash flows?” Rosan stated, as quoted on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

The man, who also serves as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, emphasised the issue of integrity to SOE bosses. For him, a leader’s integrity is something that must not be violated.

“I have zero tolerance for breaches of integrity,” said Rosan, who is also the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM.

Rosan also advised SOE bosses that in making every decision, there will inevitably be pros and cons. Clearly, he asked all SOE leaders to choose the best decisions and policies for the Indonesian people.

He also reminded them of President Prabowo Subianto’s message, which is often stated on various occasions. If someone does not have a high sense of nationalism, it is better to leave the ranks.

“The President has often said, if you are not of one heart, not red and white, please leave the ranks. Very loud and clear,” Rosan concluded.
