Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani Claims Full Authority in Selecting Management Team
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Danantara Chief Executive Officer Rosan Roeslani said the management of his financial institution comprises individuals who are competent in their respective fields.
"Not a single name was placed by the President with me. I have full authority to set up my own team," said Rosan during a discussion session broadcast via the Kabar Bursa YouTube channel on Friday, 13 June 2025.
Despite claiming he received no directives from the head of state, Rosan said President Prabowo also reviewed the management selection process at the time. "The President looked at each CV one by one, and he said, okay."
Rosan said Prabowo reviewed the candidates' personal data including their names, educational background, qualifications, and work experience.
When establishing Danantara, Rosan recounted that he received assistance from both foreign and domestic headhunters. "At least three names with all the CVs — we interviewed them together as well," he said.
Rosan said Danantara is composed of the best individuals because the financial institution faces formidable challenges. "Perhaps it is easy for me to talk about how we will invest here and there, but we still have responsibilities."
As the head of Danantara, he committed to ensuring the institution's working processes are conducted transparently and with integrity. "These are the principles that will guide us in running Danantara going forward," he said.
He noted that the Indonesian public holds high expectations for Danantara. According to him, the public is also curious about the investments being made by the institution. What is clear, he said, is that Danantara will conduct thorough due diligence on financial, legal, technical, and administrative aspects. The aim is to ensure investments are prudent and that risks have been properly considered.
"But at the same time, it will also create a benefit for all of us."
