Danantara CEO and Airlangga Respond to PLN Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting Rumours
Rumours have circulated that PT PLN (Persero) will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB), with one of the reported agenda items being a reshuffle of the board of directors. The speculation was put to Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday (18/6/2026). Rosan confirmed that a RUPSLB for PLN is indeed planned, but when asked about the timing, he did not provide an answer. “Hmm, there is a plan. I just stepped out, let’s check later,” said Rosan, who also serves as Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/Head of BKPM, when asked whether the RUPSLB would be held today or tomorrow. He similarly declined to comment on whether there would be a change of PLN’s managing director, saying only that any leadership changes would be announced in due course. “Just wait and see,” he remarked. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto was also asked about the rumoured change of managing director at the RUPSLB but refused to confirm it. Airlangga acknowledged holding a meeting with PLN but stressed that the discussion did not cover a change of managing director. “I had a meeting with PLN this morning. Oh, we did not discuss that,” Airlangga stated.
