JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani, who is also Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara Perkasa, has emphasized that the establishment of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) aims to prevent dishonest practices in export activities. PT DSI is a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) newly formed by the government to prevent under invoicing and underpricing. These practices are carried out by manipulating export data so that state revenues are smaller. ‘The platform we have set up, I’d call it: It’s one platform, multiple benefits. The world is happy, Indonesians are happier,’ Rosan told the DPR RI, as quoted from the Government Public Communications Agency (Bakom RI), Thursday (21 May 2026). The formation of the state-owned company refers to Government Regulation on the Governance of Export of Natural Resource Commodities signed by President Prabowo Subianto. The findings of alleged under invoicing over 34 years are cited as background for PT DSI. The practice is said to have caused the state to lose revenue up to Rp 15,400 trillion. Rosan said the first phase of PT DSI operations will ensure that exports of a number of strategic natural resource commodities proceed more transparently. The first period runs from 1 June to 31 December 2026. The new SOE will examine transaction reports, values, volumes, and the commodities exported by entrepreneurs. ‘And of course we will assess whether the values stated reflect fair value in line with market indices globally,’ Rosan said. However, the initial phase will cover only three commodities: palm oil, ferro alloy or iron alloy, and palm oil products. ‘The implementation will be carried out in stages to allow adjustments to changes in the export transaction process between exporters and buyers abroad,’ Airlangga said. Airlangga said all stages of the export process will eventually be carried out fully by PT DSI. The stages include the transaction process, sale and purchase contracts, shipping, and payments. ‘And this is planned for 1 September 2026,’ he said.
