JAKARTA, investor.id - Investment and Downstreaming Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani has revealed that the establishment of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) has made foreign investors increasingly confident about investing in Indonesia.

Rosan disclosed that his office has met with a number of large-scale global companies that have expressed interest in collaborating with Danantara. It is known that Rosan recently met and held discussions with several global firms including BlackRock, Google, and the Qatar Investment Authority.

"I have spoken with many potential investors and foreign investment parties, and they have actually become more convinced. They have become more confident with the existence of Danantara," Rosan explained while attending the DBS Asian Insights Conference at Hotel Mulia, Jakarta, on Wednesday (21/5/2025).

Rosan outlined several reasons why Danantara's existence gives confidence to prospective investors. Danantara is an independent body mandated to manage and optimise government investments and state-owned enterprise (SOE) assets. This mandate supports the achievement of the Asta Cita mission, the national strategic plan, and government programmes to accelerate industrialisation and economic growth.

Danantara's governance is conducted professionally, transparently, and with accountability. The agency aims to strengthen state asset governance, create added value for the economy, and enhance Indonesia's competitiveness in global markets.

"With these principles, we can increase the value and existing assets. Of course, the question is how we can make good, proper, and comprehensive investments," explained Rosan, who also serves as CEO of Danantara.

Given that Danantara reports directly to the President, Rosan stated that many foreign investors are confident and place their full trust in investment cooperation across the various projects on offer.

Rosan disclosed that Indonesia is currently pushing to boost investment realisation. This effort is aimed at raising economic growth to 8 per cent and creating as many jobs as possible.
