Danantara Indonesia, through PT Danantara Asset Management, has signed a share purchase agreement for the shares of PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, PT BRI Manajemen Investasi, PT BNI Asset Management, and PT PNM Investment Management. The signing marks the transfer of control of the four state-owned investment management companies to Danantara, which collectively recorded assets under management (AUM) of more than Rp 170 trillion as of June 2026. Chief Operating Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, stated that the acquisition of control is not merely a share purchase transaction, but an effort to build new strength in the national investment management industry. “These four companies have strong experience, networks, and capabilities, and collectively manage funds of more than Rp 170 trillion,” Dony said. Danantara has confirmed that the merger will be guided by improved strategies and governance to enable stronger growth, greater competitiveness, and enhanced added value. “Within the next month, these four asset management firms will merge into the largest asset management company in Indonesia. This process is part of the streamlining being carried out by Danantara Indonesia,” Dony stated. With an integrated business model, Dony explained that the consolidated company will expand investment access for both retail and institutional investors. It will also deliver increasingly competitive investment solutions to meet market needs. “In line with this strategic direction, the consolidated company will combine the strengths, experience, and advantages of each investment management firm to build an institution with greater scale, capability, and competitiveness,” Dony added. President Director of PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, Hardiyanto Pilia, said this foundation serves as important capital for the new entity to grow into one of the leading investment management companies in Indonesia. “We are optimistic that the Indonesian investment management industry will become more competitive and capable of strengthening investor confidence, both domestically and globally,” Hardiyanto said. In the retail segment, the consolidated company will develop thematic investment products and expand investment access through the network of Himbara banks, in line with the growth of the national Single Investor Identification (SID) count, which has surpassed 20 million investors. Meanwhile, in the institutional segment, the company will strengthen investment management capabilities by expanding the investor base and providing more comprehensive investment solutions for various domestic institutions. “We see tremendous momentum ahead. The consolidated company will become the investment partner of choice for millions of Indonesians,” Hardiyanto stated.
