Danantara Asset Management Takes Over Four State-Owned Investment Manager Firms
PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM) has officially taken over four state-owned enterprise (BUMN) investment manager companies. The four BUMN entities include PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi (MMI), PT BRI Manajemen Investasi (BRI MI), PT BNI Asset Management (BNI AM), and PT PNM Investment Management (PNM IM). The acquisition was marked by the signing of a Share Purchase Agreement on 22 July 2026. This strategic move is part of DAM’s commitment to strengthening the foundation of the national investment management industry, making it more competitive and globally resilient. Collectively, the four investment manager companies recorded assets under management (AUM) of more than Rp170 trillion as of June 2026. This substantial scale of managed funds is supported by the experience, distribution networks, investment capabilities, and investor bases held by each company. All of this potential serves as a crucial strength to broaden public access to investment products while simultaneously enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesia’s investment management industry. Chief Operating Officer of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, stressed that the acquisition of control over the four companies was not merely a standard share purchase transaction.
