The Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara) has approved financing of Rp5 trillion to launch an integrated chicken processing downstreaming project in six regions, as reported by Detikcom. The six locations designated for the project are East Java, Gorontalo, Lampung, South Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, and West Nusa Tenggara. The strategic programme requires a total budget of Rp16.7 trillion and is planned to run until 2036. The initial disbursement of funds by Danantara will be carried out in stages to execute the work plan prepared by the government. “For this first phase, according to the information we have obtained, only around Rp5 trillion has been approved, and the disbursement will be done in stages,” said Agung, Director General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture. PT Berdikari is acting as the executor, preparing all documents and supporting data for the finalisation of the budget. Agung further explained that a proposal for pre-construction budget allocation of Rp16.7 billion has also been submitted to the state-owned food holding company, PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero), or ID Food. “We have asked for an immediate response to utilise this Rp16.7 billion budget for installing bowplanks. Furthermore, the appointment of planners and other preparatory work also requires budget allocation,” he stated.
