Danantara Appoints Consortium for Lampung Waste-to-Energy Project, OASA Speaks Out

Danantara Indonesia has announced that the Bumi Biru Indonesia Consortium has been selected as the preferred partner for the development of the Lampung Raya Waste-to-Energy (PSEL) project. The consortium includes PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and its subsidiary PT Indoplas Dewata Energi, alongside SUS Environment Inc. The Lampung Raya PSEL project is designed with a processing capacity of approximately 1,167 tonnes of waste per day and is part of the Batch-2 Partner Selection process, which aims to accelerate the construction of modern waste management facilities across Indonesia. For the company, this development represents a step forward in expanding its participation in supporting the national Waste-to-Energy ecosystem through strategic collaboration with partners possessing proven experience and capability in developing energy-based waste processing facilities. OASA President Director Bobby Gafur Umar stated that the company is committed to supporting the acceleration of Waste-to-Energy facility development in Indonesia. He noted that the current progress is part of a collective effort to deliver more modern waste management solutions while contributing to the energy transition, emission reduction, and sustainable development. Regarding the Tangerang Selatan PSEL project, the company is continuing the process of adjusting the project development in line with the implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 109 of 2025. This adjustment is part of the transition towards a scheme aligned with government policy to accelerate national Waste-to-Energy infrastructure development. With increasingly conducive government policies, growing demand for waste management infrastructure, and heightened focus on sustainable investment, the company believes the Waste-to-Energy industry will become a key driver of clean energy growth in Indonesia.
