Danantara Acquires Shares in Mandiri, BNI, and BRI Investment Firms

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Danantara Asset Management has acquired shares in several Indonesian state-owned investment managers, including PT BRI Manajemen Investasi, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani Investment Management (a subsidiary of BRI), PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, and PT BNI Asset Management.

According to public filings on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Danantara purchased 19.5 million shares of BRI Manajemen Investasi at Rp1,000 each, totaling Rp975 billion. The stake represents 65% of BRI MI’s issued and paid-up capital, the company disclosed on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.

Danantara also acquired 109,999 shares of PNM Investment Management, valued at Rp1 million each, representing 99.999% of PNM IM’s capital, for a total of Rp345 billion.

In addition, Danantara purchased 39.96 million shares of BNI Asset Management at Rp1,000 per share, equivalent to 99.9% of the company’s capital, with a total value of Rp359.64 billion.

Finally, the firm acquired 1,499 shares of Mandiri Manajemen Investasi, representing 99.93% of the shares owned by Mandiri Sekuritas, for Rp1.02 trillion.

Danantara’s Chief Investment Officer, Pandu Sjahrir, said the acquisitions are part of the company’s efforts to streamline and expand its operations.

“One of the ways is to merge several companies that are quite similar,” Pandu told the media at Mega Bank Tower, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.
