Danantara Accelerates 26 National Downstreaming Projects Worth Rp225 Trillion
The Danantara Indonesia Investment Management Agency (BPI) is moving swiftly to complete 26 strategic national downstreaming projects. These 26 downstreaming projects have a total investment value reaching Rp225 trillion.
Danantara Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria stated on the official @bumn_id Instagram account that the projects are projected to absorb as many as 37,833 workers. “This makes it one of the main engines in job creation and strengthening the national economy,” he explained, as quoted on Monday (13/7/2026).
As is known, the downstreaming programme carried out by Danantara encompasses two strategic phases:
Phase one: Groundbreaking on 6 February 2026, involving 6 priority projects across 13 locations with an investment value of Rp109 trillion, absorbing 11,456 workers.
Phase two: Groundbreaking on 29 April 2026, involving 10 priority projects across 13 locations with an investment value of Rp116 trillion, absorbing 26,377 workers.
These 26 projects cover a variety of strategic commodities, ranging from the mining sector such as aluminium smelters, stainless steel, and copper, to the energy and food sectors including bioavtur facilities, bioethanol, palm oil processing, coconut, and integrated chicken farming.
“With this acceleration, Danantara is committed not only to building infrastructure but also to ensuring that downstreaming delivers a direct economic impact for the community through the creation of tens of thousands of new jobs,” he clarified.
