Danamon's Net Profit Reaches Rp 1.1 Trillion in Q1 2026, Operational Profit Surpasses Rp 1.6 Trillion
PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk recorded a consolidated net profit of Rp 1.1 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, representing a 35% year-on-year (yoy) growth compared to the previous year.
Danamon’s President Director, Nobuya Kawasaki, added that a 13% (yoy) improvement in the cost of credit also enabled the bank to book a consolidated operational profit of Rp 1.6 trillion.
“Danamon has started 2026 with strong financial performance, recording growth in loan disbursements, fund mobilisation, and profitability, while maintaining asset quality by prioritising prudence,” said Nobuya in his statement on Thursday, 30 April 2026.
He detailed that as of the end of March 2026, Danamon recorded total consolidated loans and trade finance of Rp 216.2 trillion, a 9% (yoy) increase. This was driven by 11% growth in enterprise banking and financial institution lending, 9% in SME banking, 7% in consumer banking, and 5% in Adira Finance’s business line.
On the funding side, total current accounts, savings accounts (CASA), and deposits reached Rp 176.1 trillion, up 16% (yoy).
In terms of profitability, Danamon posted consolidated pre-provision operating profit (PPOP) of Rp 2.6 trillion in Q1 2026, a 12% (yoy) rise. The net interest margin (NIM) stood at 7.6%.
Nobuya noted that this growth in financial intermediation and profitability was achieved while preserving asset quality. As of 31 March 2026, the loan at risk (LAR) ratio was 8.2%, up 2.4 percentage points from the previous year.
The gross non-performing loan (NPL) ratio at the same time was 1.6%, 30 basis points better than the prior year. Meanwhile, the NPL coverage ratio was 290.6%, an increase of 8.3 percentage points year-on-year.
In the automotive ecosystem, Nobuya continued, synergy loans with Adira Finance grew 36% (yoy). On the digital banking front, the retail customer banking app D-Bank PRO saw a 31% (yoy) increase in transaction volume and a 39% (yoy) rise in transaction value.
