Danamon, BRI named best banks

JAKARTA: Investor magazine has named Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and Bank Danamon as the country's banks of the year in terms of capital adequacy ratio, loan to deposit ratio, return on assets, return on equity, net interest margin and deposit ratio.

BRI and Danamon received the awards for the recapitalized banks with assets exceeding Rp 50 trillion (US$5.5 billion) category.

For recapitalized banks with assets between Rp 10 trillion and Rp 50 trillion, the magazine has given the award to Bank Niaga and Bank Panin. -- JP
