Dana IndonesiaRaya Focuses on Protection to Utilisation of Culture
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon has stressed that the distribution of the perpetual cultural fund, namely Dana IndonesiaRaya, is not oriented towards specific cultural statuses but focuses on the protection, preservation, and utilisation of culture.
“Our priority remains on the protection, preservation, development, and utilisation of culture. But the most important thing is its impact on society,” said Fadli in Jakarta on Thursday.
He added that the Ministry of Culture does not limit the ten objects of cultural advancement but also includes traditions, performing arts, and activities carried out by communities, including through studios.
Proposals submitted to receive these benefits are not limited because cultures that are endangered, locations, or other factors, but rather on the quality of the cultural advancement activities.
Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture Bambang Wibawarta stated that two important points in the selection are complete administration and the substance of the programme focused on the impact of the activities on society.
Dana IndonesiaRaya is a continuation of the Utilisation Programme of the Management Results of the Perpetual Cultural Fund, which has been running and providing real impacts on the cultural ecosystem in Indonesia. This name change is not merely symbolic but also reflects strengthened governance, expanded programme coverage, and improved service quality to cultural actors.
Fadli Zon conveyed that the launch of this programme is part of efforts to strengthen the utilisation of the Perpetual Cultural Fund while expanding access for cultural actors throughout Indonesia.
He explained that the name change from Dana Indonesiana to Dana IndonesiaRaya is also in line with institutional transformation and strengthened programme governance to make it more adaptive and broadly impactful.
