JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The culmination of the 1447H Hajj pilgrimage concluded on 25 May 2026, yet DAMRI continues to support operational transportation for pilgrims through its Hajj services across various Indonesian embarkation points.

During the departure period from 22 April to 20 May 2026, DAMRI served a total of 72,556 Hajj pilgrims across 182 groups. This was achieved using 100 buses operating at key embarkation points, including Aceh, Medan, Pangkalpinang, Bandar Lampung, Jakarta, Bandung (Kertajati), Pontianak, Balikpapan, Samarinda, Mataram, and Makassar.

Head of Corporate Communications P. Septian Adri S stated that Hajj transportation services are not just about mobility but also part of DAMRI’s efforts to support the smooth conduct of pilgrims’ religious duties.

“During this peak Hajj period, we pray for the smoothness, health, safety, and acceptance of the entire pilgrimage journey for Indonesian pilgrims,” he said in an official statement on Sunday, 31 May 2026.

Septian added that through these transport services, DAMRI aims to remain part of Indonesian citizens’ pilgrimage journey by providing safe, comfortable, and responsible transportation during both departure and return phases from the Holy Land.
