DAMRI Opens Malang–Jakarta and Surabaya–Jakarta Routes, Tickets Starting from Rp 280,000

Travellers returning from Malang and Surabaya to Jakarta who have not yet secured tickets may consider bus travel as an option. During the return flow of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period, DAMRI is providing routes with high demand, including Malang–Jakarta and Surabaya–Jakarta. Tickets start from Rp 280,000. “The return flow movement is concentrating on several main routes, including from Malang and Surabaya to Jakarta. We are ensuring that service availability remains maintained and making dynamic operational adjustments so that customers’ journeys remain safe and smooth.” The statement was delivered by Head of Corporate Communication DAMRI, P. Septian Adri S., in an official broadcast, quoted on Wednesday (25/3/2026). Septian also conveyed that DAMRI continues to ensure service readiness on the return flow corridors to accommodate public needs. In addition to ensuring ticket availability, he added, DAMRI is continuously monitoring operational conditions in the field, including on main routes. Such as on the Trans-Java corridor, to anticipate potential density during the return flow period. “This service passes through strategic boarding and alighting points in the Jabodetabek area, making the journey more efficient with minimal stops, suitable for those who want to return to Jakarta more quickly and comfortably,” Septian continued. In line with the increasing national return flow movement for Eid al-Fitr 2026, he added, DAMRI continues to strengthen operational readiness to ensure smooth public travel. “And, we are committed to providing reliable land transportation services by prioritising aspects of safety, security, and comfort for all customers,” Septian stated.
