DAMRI has introduced a seat selection feature for female passengers known as Pink Zone on its buses. The Pink Zone innovation has been unveiled to enhance comfort for women travelling alone, particularly during the 2026 Eid holiday exodus.

“Through the Pink Zone feature, female customers can select seats with special markings when booking via the DAMRI Apps. This feature gives customers more suitable seating preferences, especially when travelling alone during the holiday period,” said DAMRI Head of Corporate Communication P. Septian Adri S. in an official statement on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

In response to this need, DAMRI has introduced Pink Zone as a seat selection feature that allows female passengers to sit adjacent to other female passengers. In the seat booking display on DAMRI Apps, seats already selected by female customers are marked in pink. Available seats are displayed in white, seats occupied by male customers in grey, and seats being selected in yellow. This system helps customers determine their seat choices more transparently.

Pink Zone is available only through bookings via DAMRI Apps and applies to services with seat selection systems such as AKAP (intercity buses), AKDP (inter-provincial buses), and international travel services.

“We understand that comfort is an important factor, particularly for female customers making long-distance journeys during Eid. Through Pink Zone, DAMRI strives to provide a travel experience that is safer, more comfortable, and meets customer needs,” Septian added.

With a combination of safety features and more affordable pricing, female passengers can plan their journey with greater peace of mind, as travel is both secure and economical.

“DAMRI wants to ensure that the holiday exodus is not only safe and comfortable, but also pocket-friendly. With the Pink Zone feature and ticket promotion programmes, customers can travel with greater confidence and without worry, even from the ticket booking stage,” Septian said.
