Damaged roads and campaigns

Damaged roads and campaigns

From Jayakarta

We are certainly proud of our achievements in technology, information and industry, etc. This was, of course, made possible by the present development of high schools which is now seriously focusing upon all educative aspects and upon Indonesian life.

It is to be regretted, however, that an old habit continues to occur and hinder development. Poor road building techniques are still being used when there are many other alternatives available. This is particularly evident in the outskirts of Jakarta such as on Jl. Raya Pasar Kemis, Tangerang; Jl. Pancoran Mas, Depok; Jl. Raya Tonjong, Bogong Gede, and other areas.

Damaged roads is a result of poor building techniques such as insufficient drainage which leads to inundation.

No matter how strong the road is, floods quickly turn roads into a potholed, muddy mess. During the rainy season the problem only escalates.

But why can't such conditions be anticipated? It is apparent that the ability to use preventive measures is sadly missing in the development of the country.

We do not need to encourage the thought that constant road repairs might be on purpose.

We are quite certain that there are other ways to reach a stage of affluence without corrupting funds from the people. In other words, do not throw sand in people's eyes by campaigning on issues related to bad road conditions.

We all know that the status quo has been crossed over, it has taken the shape of a ravenous octopus searching for prey.
