Damaged Huntara Aceh Tamiang Facilities Finally Completed Repairs
JAKARTA - PT Nindya Karya (Persero) has confirmed that the pedestrian facilities at the Huntara Tamiang temporary housing in Aceh are now fully operational again following damage caused by misuse. Project Manager Irwan stated that the repairs were carried out comprehensively, with a focus on quality and the sustainability of the facilities’ functions. “We ensure that every stage of the work proceeds well so that the facilities can be used safely and comfortably by the community,” he said in a written statement on Thursday (30/4/2026). An initial evaluation of the facilities’ condition was conducted on 21 April 2026. Damage to the pedestrian paths was found due to improper use, such as motor vehicles passing through the area. These findings were followed up with measured handling and repair steps. The repairs included reorganising the affected areas, strengthening the base structure, and perfecting the walkway access paths to enable optimal use. As of 28 April 2026, the facilities at Huntara Tamiang have been reported to be in good condition again. Consequently, residents’ daily activities, including mobility within the housing environment, can now proceed safely and comfortably. Irwan added that the company will continue to conduct regular monitoring to ensure the facilities’ condition remains maintained. Nindya Karya also encourages the use of the facilities according to their intended purpose so that their benefits can be felt sustainably by all occupants. This step is described as part of the company’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure while supporting the comfort and activities of the community in the temporary housing environment. “We continue to carry out field monitoring to keep the condition maintained,” said Irwan.
