Daksa builds villas, hotel in Anyer
JAKARTA (JP): Daksa Group announced yesterday its plan to
build 800 villas, a three-star hotel and a range of tourism
facilities in a coastal area near Cilegon, West Java.
Tito Santoso, the chairman of the business group, said that
the villa project would occupy 60 hectares of land in Anyer,
which is a two-hour drive from Jakarta.
"We are targeting the growing middle class," he said.
The construction of the resort villas will be the first stage
of the business group's property project in the area, which will
also include recreational and sporting centers near the planned
hotel.
The construction of the Anyer Marina Villa and Resort will
cost the business group around Rp 150 billion (US$68.18 million).
The construction of the project will start in January and is
scheduled for completion in early 1997.
The planned villas, now being exhibited at the ongoing Real
Estate Expo at the Convention Hall here, carry price tags ranging
from Rp 85.6 million to Rp 500 million each.
Tito was optimistic about the market for the planned
residential resort, given demand for hotel rooms and special
housing in the area.
Daksa Group, which is also involved in automotive, fishing and
tourism businesses, has developed a number of housing projects in
Jakarta and its surrounding areas.(hen)
