Dairy plans Indonesian outlet

SINGAPORE (AFX-ASIA): Dairy Farm International Holdings Ltd
said it is planning to open 10 hypermarkets in Singapore,
Malaysia and Indonesia over the next three years through unit
Giant TMC Bhd.

"We are looking to open up to 10 hypermarkets in Singapore,
Malaysia and perhaps Indonesia over the next three years," Dairy
Farm chief executive Ronald Floto said at the official launch the
company's first Giant Hypermarket in Singapore.

There is room in Singapore for an additional two to three more
hypermarkets, he said.

Start-up costs of one hypermarket in Singapore are estimated
at US$4 million, he said.
