Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed up 1.69% at 6,373.85 on Wednesday (12/8). The index’s gains were mainly supported by BREN, which rose 13.29%, DCII up 5.45%, and BRPT up 7.14%. On the other hand, TLKM fell 0.77%, MPRO weakened 4.17%, and MORA corrected 1.47%.

Foreign investor activity recorded a net buy of Rp482.79 billion in the regular market and Rp725.40 billion across all markets. On a sectoral basis, 10 of 11 sectors ended in positive territory. The infrastructure sector recorded a 4.74% increase, while the transportation and logistics sector was the only sector to weaken, with a decline of 0.16%.

In the United States market, index movements were mixed. The Dow Jones fell slightly by 0.04% to 53,770, the S&P 500 rose 0.26% to 7,748, while the Nasdaq strengthened 0.54% to 26,588.

Market participants also took note of the results of the MSCI Index Review for August 2026, which included changes to several Indonesian stock constituents. These movements drew attention because 10 issuers could potentially experience outflows from foreign investors. The MSCI Indonesia Index was recorded down 0.24%, while the EIDO ETF strengthened 1.68%.

In the August 2026 Index Review results, MSCI removed GOTO from the MSCI Global Standard Index. Meanwhile, CPIN was downgraded from the Global Standard Index to the Global Small Cap Index. In the MSCI Indonesia Small Cap Index, CPIN entered as a new constituent, while BANK, BUKA, ESSA, FILM, HEAL, KPIG, RATU, SMGR, and TCPI were removed. No Indonesian issuers were added to the Global Standard Index. All changes will take effect after the close of trading on 31 August 2026.

On the corporate action front, XLSMART Telecom Sejahtera (EXCL) recorded performance growth in the first half of 2026. The company’s revenue rose 25.60% year-on-year to Rp23.99 trillion from Rp19.09 trillion in the same period the previous year.

EBITDA also increased 41.10% to Rp11.34 trillion, with an EBITDA margin reaching 47.30%. Revenue growth was supported by increased data consumption and a rise in blended average revenue per user (ARPU) to Rp47.10 thousand from Rp38.20 thousand previously. The company said its pricing strategy and customer optimisation also supported the performance.

However, EXCL still posted a net loss of Rp998.06 billion. Nevertheless, the figure improved compared to a loss of Rp1.21 trillion in the first half of 2025.

On the cash flow side, operating cash flow increased to Rp13.68 trillion from Rp8.82 trillion in the same period the previous year.

Technically, EXCL shares are still moving sideways with an upward tendency. The resistance level is around Rp2,640, while support is in the Rp2,330 area.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Paradise Property (INPP) has set an interim cash dividend for the 2026 financial year of Rp4.5 per share, or a total of Rp50.32 billion.

The dividend distribution is equivalent to a dividend payout ratio of 89.23% of net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity in the first half of 2026 of Rp56.39 billion. The dividend distribution decision was approved by the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors on 7 August 2026.

In the first half of 2026, INPP recorded revenue of Rp858.14 billion, down 1.60% year-on-year from Rp872.11 billion. However, the company turned around to record a net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity of Rp56.39 billion, compared to a loss of Rp72.11 billion in the first half of 2025.

INPP’s earnings per share (EPS) was recorded at Rp5.04, reversing from minus Rp6.45 in the same period the previous year.

In trading on Wednesday (12/8), INPP shares closed at Rp750 per share. With the interim dividend of Rp4.5 per share, the dividend yield based on the closing price is around 0.60%.

The cum date for the dividend is set for 20 August 2026, while the dividend payment is scheduled for 10 September 2026.
