Daily Stock Recommendations: BRMS, INKP Among Top Picks
The Indonesian Composite Index (IHSG) closed trading on Tuesday, 10 March in positive territory after strengthening 1.41% to the level of 7,440.91.
The index’s advancement was supported by a number of large-capitalisation stocks, including DSSA which rose 5.94%, BRMS which surged 13.25%, and BBCA which strengthened 1.45%. Conversely, pressure on the index came from weakness in several stocks such as TLKM which fell 4.52%, BREN which weakened 2.72%, and TPIA which corrected 4.17%.
Foreign investors recorded net selling of Rp1.93 trillion in the regular market and Rp2.63 trillion across the entire market. By sector, 10 of 11 sectors closed higher with the basic industrial sector recording the highest gain of 4.42%, whilst the technology sector was the only one to correct slightly by 0.04%.
In global markets, United States stock indices closed mixed. The Dow Jones fell slightly by 0.07% to 47,706, the S&P 500 weakened 0.21% to 6,781, whilst the Nasdaq moved relatively flat with a gain of 0.01% to 22,697. Market participants continued to monitor statements from US President Donald Trump regarding the prospect of de-escalating conflict with Iran in the near term. This sentiment was also reflected in the strengthening of the MSCI Indonesia index by 0.73% during evening trading, although the Indonesia ETF, iShares MSCI Indonesia ETF (EIDO), was recorded as declining 0.49%.
Meanwhile, the 11th Commission of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) is scheduled to hold a fit and proper test on 11 March for 10 candidates from a total of 20 names that passed the administrative selection for prospective members of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
The list of candidate names will be sent by President Prabowo Subianto to the DPR, which will subsequently select five individuals to fill the positions of chairman, vice-chairman, commissioner for capital markets, digital assets, and consumer protection. The results of the fit and proper test are scheduled to be announced the same day and then brought to a plenary DPR session.
From the corporate side, Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari Tbk (ELPI) announced a dividend distribution of Rp126 billion or Rp17 per share for the 2025 financial year. The company recorded net profit of Rp209.19 billion at the end of 2025.
ELPI’s Corporate Secretary, Wawan Heri Purnomo, stated that the dividend value represents the highest in the past three years, following previously recorded dividends of Rp6.3 per share in 2023 and Rp13.5 per share in 2024. Remaining net profit after deducting mandatory reserves and dividend distribution will be set aside as retained earnings.
