Daily Consumption of Pertamax Series Rises 33% During Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has assured that energy availability remains stable during the 2026 Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force period. Amid rising public mobility, high-quality fuels such as the Pertamax Series have become the primary choice, recording significant consumption increases.

Based on monitoring data from 9 to 26 March 2026, gasoline fuel consumption rose by an average of around 16.0% compared to normal daily consumption in January 2026. This increase was driven by greater use of the Pertamax Series, in line with public needs for optimal vehicle performance during long-distance journeys.

The average daily consumption of Pertamax (RON 92) was recorded to have increased by around 33.9%, while Pertamax Turbo, intended for high-performance vehicles, saw an average daily consumption rise of 33.7%.

Meanwhile, the environmentally friendly product, Pertamax Green, recorded the highest average daily consumption increase of up to 95.8% compared to normal levels. This indicates growing public interest in more eco-friendly fuels.

The peak gasoline consumption occurred on 19 March 2026, with an increase of 37.8% over normal levels. During the return flow, consumption rose by 20.1% on 26 March 2026.

For Gasoil products, positive consumption trends were also observed, with average daily Pertamina Dex consumption up 27.4% compared to normal and Dexlite up 4.9% compared to normal.

Additionally, LPG consumption increased by 8.6% and avtur by 4.0%, in line with heightened household activities and air transportation during the Eid holiday period. For avtur, the peak consumption occurred during the return flow on 25 March 2026, with an increase of up to 22.1% over normal levels.

Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth M.V. Dumatubun, stated that this increase in high-quality fuel consumption aligns with the trend of long-distance travel requiring optimal vehicle performance.

“The increase in gasoline consumption, particularly the Pertamax Series, shows that more people are choosing quality fuels to support more comfortable and efficient homecoming and return journeys. Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that all these energy needs are met well through the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr Task Force,” said Roberth in a press release on Saturday (28/3/2026).

Furthermore, Roberth added that Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared various infrastructures and additional services to ensure smooth energy distribution. During the Eid holiday and return flow period, Pertamina has mobilised 2,074 24-hour alert fuel stations, around 6,300 alert LPG agents, motorist services for fuel and LPG, as well as 95 modular fuel service units and 61 Pertamina alert kiosks at strategic points. Additionally, there are 43 MyPertamina Serambi points providing rest facilities for the public along the homecoming routes.
