PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia (DAIKIN) has launched a programme to provide appreciation for air conditioning technicians across Indonesia, coinciding with the first anniversary of the launch of its Nusantara Prestige AC series. The programme, titled DAIKIN Installer Program, offers special incentives for every technician who installs a DAIKIN Nusantara Prestige series unit. Alexander Eko Wibowo, General Manager of Retail Sales at PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia, stated that the programme is designed to appreciate technicians who play a crucial role in the successful distribution of the Nusantara Prestige AC since its launch last year. He added that as the party directly facing users, technicians hold a vital role in providing quality installation and maintenance work for DAIKIN users. The programme runs nationally for six months starting from 2 June 2026, with incentives ranging from Rp 50,000 to Rp 100,000 for each installation of a Nusantara Prestige model. Technicians can access further information about the programme through the website www.daikin.co.id. In implementing the programme, DAIKIN is collaborating with nine air conditioning technician associations covering both national and regional operational areas. The national associations include the Asosiasi Praktisi Pendingin dan Tata Udara Indonesia (APITU), Asosiasi Teknisi Refrigerasi dan Air Conditioner Nusantara (ASISI), and Perkumpulan Teknisi Refrigerasi dan Tata Udara Indonesia (PTRTU). Regional associations involved are Ikatan Pengusaha Pendingin Semeton Bali (IP2SB) in Bali, Teknisi Garuda Sakti (TEGAS) in Pekanbaru, Himpunan Teknisi Refrigerasi dan Air Conditioning Bandung (HTRACB) for the Greater Bandung area, Paguyuban Teknisi Pendingin Riau (PTPR) for the Riau area, Paguyuban Teknisi Pendingin (PATEN) operating in the Tangerang area, and Komunitas Teknisi AC Jabodetabek (KTAJ). Alexander Eko Wibowo explained that the collaboration, formalised through a memorandum of understanding, also includes an appreciation scheme for the associations themselves. Incentives will be awarded to the associations with the highest number of claims throughout the programme period. Through this appreciation programme, DAIKIN hopes that collaboration with technicians and their associations will further strengthen service quality, from installation to maintenance and repair, to provide an optimal user experience. Alexander Eko Wibowo expressed the company’s hope that the programme will strengthen the collaboration between DAIKIN, associations, and technicians in building a better industry ecosystem based on the spirit of providing the best service to the public. The Nusantara Prestige is DAIKIN’s first residential AC manufactured at its factory in Indonesia. Introduced in June last year, the series includes three models: ALPHA Inverter, BETA Inverter, and SMS. Bearing the ‘Made in Indonesia’ label, the product represents DAIKIN’s commitment to providing residential air conditioners suited to the needs of the Indonesian public while maintaining the Japanese quality standards that form DAIKIN’s reputation.
