Daihatsu's Green Report Card in a Dynamic Automotive Market
As part of the positive trend in the national automotive market, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) has also posted positive results. As of April 2026, Daihatsu recorded retail sales of 46,953 units, with a market share of 16.3 percent, maintaining the number-two position in the national automotive retail market. In terms of best-selling models, Gran Max is the main contributor with a 63.3 percent share in the light commercial segment or entry commercial. For passenger vehicles, Sigra and Ayla recorded market shares of 36.8 percent in the low-cost green car (LCGC) segment. Terios also achieved 30.4 percent in the low SUV segment with a price around Rp 300 million.
Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing Director and Corporate Communications Director of PT ADM, said they are grateful to continuously maintain customer trust amid a dynamic market. Daihatsu’s sales performance is supported by a wide reach to customers across urban, rural or remote areas. The contribution of sales in rural or remote areas reaches 46 percent, higher than the total market at 33 percent. Meanwhile, sales outside Jabodetabek reach 81 percent, higher than the market total of 67 percent. Daihatsu also holds the second position in various regions across Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and IBT (Indonesia Bagian Timur – East Indonesia).
