Daihatsu closed February 2026 on a positive note, with sales rising by about 10 percent compared with January 2026. The company recorded retail sales of 12,336 units in February 2026, with three main segments consistently contributing more than 90 percent of total sales. All three segments originate from light commercial vehicles and two passenger-car models, namely the low-cost green car (LCGC) and the low sport utility vehicle (LSUV).

Sri Agung Handayani, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication at PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), said the February 2026 achievement strengthens Daihatsu’s consistency in meeting the mobility needs of Indonesian society, for daily use as well as to support business activities.

Detailing the segments, the passenger-car segment contributed 51 percent of total sales, with Sigra and Ayla in the LCGC class contributing 3,906 units. This was followed by Terios with 1,351 units sold.

In the light-commercial segment, contributing 49 percent of total sales, the Gran Max pickup was the main contributor with 4,010 units sold in February 2026, while the Gran Max minibus sold 2,033 units.

The sustained positive performance in the commercial segment is claimed to indicate a strong customer preference for the Gran Max as a business vehicle, from first-time entrepreneurs to companies in Indonesia.

A positive note for February 2026 also ties to the trend of Daihatsu’s performance, finishing 2025 by maintaining the number two position in national retail automotive sales for 17 consecutive years.

Ahead of Lebaran 2026, Daihatsu relaunched the Daihatsu Idul Fitri (Daifit) programme. Prospective buyers who transact during the period 1 February–30 April 2026 have the chance to win a Umrah prize for nine people, to be drawn in May.
