Daihatsu's expansion in RI

TOKYO (AFP): Japan's Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd. said Wednesday
its Indonesian assembler PT Gaya Motors would more than double
production capacity for its models by 1998.

Daihatsu officials said PT Gaya would increase capacity from
40,000 units to 100,000 units a year.

They said Daihatsu was aiming to raise its share of the
Indonesian market from 12 percent in 1994 to 20 percent by 2004.

Gaya is to raise capacity for Daihatsu's Zebra model and its
recreational vehicle, the Feroza, the officials said.
