JAKARTA - Strengthening its commitment to supporting sustainable human resource development, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) has inaugurated the Daihatsu DOJO industrial class at SMK Islam 1 Blitar, East Java. The inauguration, part of the “Gebyar Pintar Bersama Daihatsu 2026” event series, serves as evidence of support for vocational education in Indonesia. As a “training facility”, DOJO aims to enhance the abilities and skills of vocational high school students through direct practical studies in a facility designed to industry standards according to the needs of the automotive sector. The goal is to make students more prepared to face the real work environment in the automotive industry. “This number reflects the spirit of collaboration that continues to be strengthened to improve the quality of vocational education. For the 2026–2027 period, the main focus of this programme is quality, namely ensuring that mentoring provides real impact for schools, teachers, and students, even contributing to the automotive industry,” he said on Wednesday (29/4/2026). The presence of this class also serves as a strategic step to improve industry-based learning quality. DOJO is not just a practice room, but also a means of forming an industry culture from an early age. Students are equipped with technical skills as well as values of discipline, precision, responsibility, and professional work ethic. In addition to the inauguration of the DOJO facility, the event series also includes the signing of curriculum synchronisation for assisted vocational schools in the East Java, NTB, and Bali regions as an effort to align with industry needs.
