Daihatsu Sells 5,054 Gran Max Units in March 2026

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) sold 5,054 units of Gran Max in March 2026, dominating 72% of the market share in the low-end commercial vehicle segment.

In a press release on Thursday, the company detailed that during that period, the Gran Max Pick Up recorded sales of 3,543 units and captured 67% of the low-end pick-up market share.

Meanwhile, the Gran Max Minibus recorded sales of 1,511 units in March 2026 and achieved an 88% market share in its segment.

The Gran Max commercial vehicle was launched in 2007, and currently, approximately 900,000 units are in operation.

According to the company, this figure demonstrates that the Gran Max has become a mobility solution option for business actors seeking a commercial vehicle with proven quality and durability, operational efficiency, and ease of maintenance.

According to him, in addition to having a large carrying capacity, the commercial vehicle is fuel-efficient.

“Gran Max greatly helps our business mobility because it is flexible for various needs, from distribution to supporting daily business activities, and also maintains the quality of goods well due to its enclosed model,” he said.

Gran Max includes the Gran Max Pick Up, Gran Max Mini Bus, and Gran Max Blind Van types.

This vehicle is available with 1,300 cc and 1,500 cc engine options. Manual and automatic transmission options are only available on the Gran Max Blind Van 1.5 L.

The car features 14-inch wheels and 15 mm ground clearance, which, according to the company, can be driven on various terrains.

The 1,500 cc Gran Max variant is equipped with Electronic Power Steering to support lighter and more comfortable manoeuvring.

The Gran Max Blind Van 1.5L with automatic transmission, launched in September 2025, offers a variety of safety features.

The car’s safety features include Dual SRS Airbag, retractable seat belts, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and immobiliser.
