Daihatsu secures 591 vehicle orders during GIIAS 2026
PT Astra Daihatsu Motor recorded 591 vehicle orders during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition – BSD City, Tangerang, Banten, from 30 July to 9 August.
According to a company press release received on Wednesday, the Daihatsu model with the highest number of orders during the exhibition was the Sigra.
The Sigra recorded 122 vehicle orders, or approximately 21 per cent of the total orders received by the company during GIIAS 2026.
The Gran Max Van ranked second with 102 vehicle orders (17 per cent), while the Gran Max Pick Up placed third with 84 vehicle orders (14 per cent).
Other Daihatsu models, including the Terios, Ayla, Xenia, Rocky, Luxio, and Sirion, recorded a combined total of 283 vehicle orders, or 48 per cent of all orders received.
“The combination of Daihatsu’s sales achievements across passenger and commercial vehicles shows that Daihatsu vehicles remain relevant in meeting diverse needs, from family mobility to supporting business activities,” said Budi Setiawan, Chief Operation Officer of PT Astra International Tbk. In addition, the Daihatsu K-Vision received an award as a special concept car at GIIAS 2026.
The kei car concept vehicle applies e-SMART HYBRID hybrid technology to deliver a driving experience supported by an electric motor without the need for charging.
The concept vehicle can also be used to charge external devices.
Daihatsu also won the Favourite Booth Passenger award for presenting a comfortable and family-friendly stand as well as hosting various interactive programmes.
The Daihatsu stand succeeded in attracting the attention of more than 100,000 visitors during GIIAS 2026.
