Daihatsu records 97,059 retail units sold up to August 2026
PT Astra Daihatsu Motor recorded retail sales of 97,059 units from January to August 2026, representing a 9.1 per cent increase compared to the 88,944 units sold during the same period in 2025.
This achievement has strengthened Daihatsu’s position in the national automotive market, securing a market share of 16.3 per cent as of August 2026. The company also maintained its position as the second-ranked brand in retail sales in Indonesia, following its parent company, Toyota.
According to a press release received in Jakarta on Friday, Daihatsu booked retail sales of 12,100 units in August 2026. The Gran Max line, consisting of the Gran Max PU and Gran Max MB, was the largest contributor, with 5,944 units sold, accounting for approximately 49 per cent of Daihatsu’s total sales for that month.
Furthermore, the LCGC Series, comprising the Sigra and Ayla, recorded sales of 3,693 units, or about 3ly 31 per cent. The Terios contributed 1,315 units (approximately 11 per cent), followed by the All New Xenia with 619 units, the Rocky Series (including Rocky and Rocky Hybrid) with 266 units, Luxio with 252 units, and the Sirion with 11 units.

The Gran Max Series and LCGC Series were the primary contributors to August sales, providing a combined contribution of approximately 80 per cent of the total monthly sales.
The Japanese manufacturer stated that it will continue to maintain this positive momentum until the end of 2026 by strengthening products and services, as well as providing various conveniences for customers.
