Daihatsu Part Center in Cikarang: A Pillar of National Spare Parts Availability

Daihatsu provides broad and fast aftersales services to give convenience to automotive customers. One example is through the Part Center facility owned by PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) in the MM2100 industrial area, Cikarang, West Java, which functions as a spare parts storage and distribution centre. The ADM Part Center plays a role in ensuring spare parts availability so customers can carry out maintenance and repair of their vehicles without long waiting times. This facility also serves spare parts needs for the domestic market through the official Daihatsu workshop network and supports export requirements. “Moreover, this facility is further supported by the involvement of suppliers as well as local spare-parts SMEs (UMKM), as a tangible contribution to supporting the development of Indonesia’s automotive industry,” he continued. The facility, which has stood for almost two decades since 2007, covers an area of more than four hectares. Currently, the Part Center stores more than 30,000 spare parts items comprising CKD (Completely Knocked Down) and CBU (Completely Built Up) categories, including slow-moving as well as fast-moving items. For information, Daihatsu continues to strengthen its aftersales service network in Indonesia, which has reached more than 500 cities and regencies, supported by hundreds of outlets, official workshops, the Daihatsu Mobile Service (DMS) fleet, and thousands of part shops.
