Astra Daihatsu Motor has unveiled the refreshed New Sigra 1.2R at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 in Tangerang. The update brings a number of changes to the exterior, interior, and comfort and safety features of the popular Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) MPV. On the front, the New Sigra 1.2R sports a dark-coloured grille with red accents and new LED headlamps. The side profile retains its compact shape, complemented by electrically adjustable mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. The model rides on 14-inch polished alloy wheels wrapped in 175/65 tyres. At the rear, the refresh includes a new bumper design and a black accent that connects the tail lamps, along with a newly added rear roof spoiler. Inside, the cabin features red accents on the dashboard and door trim. The updated head unit now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The seats are upholstered in black fabric with a red pattern. For added convenience and safety, the New Sigra is equipped with rear parking sensors, with a rear parking camera available on certain variants. Safety features include dual SRS airbags, while Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) are offered on selected variants. Under the bonnet, the Sigra continues to offer a choice of 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre engines. The 1.2-litre unit produces 88 PS at 6,000 rpm and 108 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. The vehicle accommodates up to seven passengers and remains positioned in the LCGC MPV segment. Since its introduction in 2016, the Daihatsu Sigra has recorded sales of more than 450,000 units in Indonesia. The New Sigra 1.2R is priced from Rp173.2 million to Rp195.9 million, depending on the variant and transmission choice.
