Daihatsu Gran Max Becomes Best-Selling Commercial Vehicle in March 2026
As one of the preferred light commercial vehicles in Indonesia, the Daihatsu Gran Max continues to achieve positive results among both entrepreneurs and individuals. This success is evidenced by the Gran Max becoming Indonesia’s best-selling commercial vehicle in March 2026. According to data, its sales reached 5,054 units, securing a 72% market share in the low commercial segment. Among the variants offered, the Gran Max pickup was the top seller with 3,543 units and a 67% market share in the low pickup segment. “The Gran Max continues to earn trust and has recorded cumulative sales of over 900,000 units since 2007. This figure proves that the Gran Max serves as a mobility solution for business actors, while also providing the best value through proven quality and durability, operational efficiency, and ease of maintenance,” Daihatsu stated in its official release on Wednesday (22/4/2026). Beyond being a goods transport tool, Daihatsu claims the Gran Max also forms part of business strategies for entrepreneurs to reach consumers more broadly and efficiently. Daihatsu offers the Gran Max in three variants: pickup, minibus, and blind van. For engines, there are two options: 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre with manual transmission, plus automatic for the 1.5L Blind Van model. The new 1.5L Gran Max Blind Van with automatic transmission features comprehensive safety equipment in its class, including Dual SRS Airbags, retractable seatbelts, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and immobiliser. In terms of pricing, Daihatsu markets the Gran Max pickup starting at Rp167,050,000, Blind Van at Rp180,400,000, and Minibus at Rp212,750,000. On-the-road prices may vary by region.
