Dahua Technology Showcases 'Visible AI in New Energy' at Intersolar Europe 2026
Dahua Technology, a leading global provider of video-centric AIoT solutions, showcased its latest innovations for the renewable energy industry at Intersolar Europe 2026. Under the theme ‘Visible AI in New Energy’, Dahua demonstrated how AIoT technology can help energy operators improve efficiency, reliability, and safety across the entire energy value chain, from generation and transmission to consumption.
At the exhibition, Dahua presented a comprehensive solutions portfolio covering five key application areas: Intelligent Security, Equipment Inspection, HSE-PPE Management, EV Charging, and Smart Control Centre. These solutions address the increasingly urgent needs of the renewable energy industry for smarter operations, safer working environments, and more efficient asset management across all infrastructure lines.
For Intelligent Security, Dahua displayed a perimeter security solution for solar power plants and other energy facilities. The solution integrates thermal imaging, radar-camera linkage, triple-lens monitoring, and solar-powered wireless security systems. Supported by Dahua’s internally developed thermal algorithms, the solution can extend detection range by up to 85%. In a solar plant project in Brazil, the solution successfully reduced over 1,000 false alarms per day generated by 204 devices to just one false alarm per device per week. In Europe, Dahua’s AI-based perimeter security solution has also been deployed at a 60 MW solar complex in Romania.
For Equipment Inspection, Dahua introduced an intelligent inspection solution specifically designed for electrical substations and other geographically dispersed energy assets. By continuously monitoring the temperature and operational status of equipment, the system helps operators detect potential anomalies early. Automatically generated inspection records and reports support predictive maintenance strategies, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing the burden of manual inspections.
To enhance workplace safety, Dahua presented its HSE-PPE solution, which combines AI-based detection systems in both fixed and portable formats. The solution automatically verifies whether personnel entering high-risk areas are wearing the required personal protective equipment, such as helmets and safety vests, and provides real-time alerts when non-compliance is detected. This helps strengthen adherence to occupational safety standards at energy facilities.
Dahua also showcased its EV charging portfolio, including AC charging solutions for residential needs and DC fast-charging solutions for commercial applications. Supported by a cloud-based management platform and a mobile application, these solutions enable users to monitor charging status, schedule charging sessions, and manage charging flexibly and conveniently.
Complementing these offerings, Dahua’s Smart Control Centre unifies security, inspection, and operational management functions into a single integrated platform powered by DSS Professional. The platform facilitates remote video monitoring, alarm management, inspection task scheduling, and historical data analysis, providing a centralised overview of all site conditions. In Italy, Dahua’s thermal-based perimeter security solution and DSS Professional platform have enabled centralised management across multiple remote solar plant sites, with coverage expanded to 80 sites and approximately 1,600 thermal cameras.
Overall, this suite of solutions reflects Dahua’s commitment to advancing the renewable energy industry through intelligent technology and comprehensive lifecycle protection. Moving forward, Dahua will continue to collaborate with global partners to explore innovative AI applications that support a safer, more efficient, and sustainable energy future.
